WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT:
Hello and
welcome to my new website. My name's Dave (or Dave T'
on many online forums) and I collect both real aircraft (mostly cockpits
of) and plastic model kits (1/24 to 1/72 scales), AFVs (1/25th & much
larger!), instrument panels, parts, books, magazines, etc...
This site allows me to showcase my cockpit projects both past and present,
my other interest of aircraft instrument panels, and 'other stuff'
that I get up to in what remaining spare time I have, such as the modeling
and r/c tanks. Also please check out the links section to related websites I
use and recommend.
Currently my main project is the cockpit of pre-production short nose
Folland Gnat T.1 'XM692' (recently purchased via eBay!!), but also showcased
here are other cockpits & aeronautica that comes into my hands. Some
stay only a short while (e.g. a cockpit that is rescued at the eleventh hour
but passes onto a good home), others are long term projects that I hope to
finish myself, but are usually hindered by parts availability.
Previously owned 'toys' (in whole or part) include Harriers XV759 and ZD670,
Flying Flea G-ARDZ, Tiger Moths G-ANFP and T6464, Jet Provosts XN632 and
XN549, Seahawk WF145, Lightning XM144, Canberra WT520, Chipmunks WB626,
WB560, WP927, WZ869 and WZ876, Hunters WN957, N-202 and PH-NLF, and assorted
military vehicles....!!
