WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT:
Hello and welcome to my new website. My name's Dave (or Dave T'
on many online forums) and I collect both real aircraft (mostly cockpit's of)
and plastic model kits (1/24 to 1/72 scales), AFV's (1/25th & much larger
!), books, magazines etc...
This site will allow me to showcase my cockpit projects both past and present,
those of my friends and colleagues who do not have their own website, and
'other stuff' that I get up to in what remaining spare time I have,
such as the modeling and r/c tanks. Also please check out the links section to
related websites I use and recommend.
Currently my main project is the cockpit of pre-production short nose Folland
Gnat T.1 'XM692' (recently purchased via eBay !! ). Hopefully next will be D.H.
Chipmunk T.10 WZ869 (I also have the fuselage frame of Auster AOP.9 XK421
currently in storage for a rainy day). Another new sideline is collecting Vulcan
parts relating to the pilots panel area, with all the main pilots panels plus an
original windscreen assembly acquired so far. The end goal is an upper forward
'pilots-eye' flight deck display.
Previously owned 'toys' (in whole or part) include Harrier's
XV759 and ZD670, Flying Flea G-ARDZ, Tiger Moth's G-ANFP and T6464, Jet
Provost's XN632 and XN549, Seahawk WF145, Lightning XM144, Canberra WT520,
Chipmunks WB626,WB560, WP927 and WZ876, Hunter's WN957, N-202 and PH-NLF, and
assorted military vehicles....!!
